ALFONS ADETUYI, Producer / Director / President

ALFONS ADETUYI is an award-winning producer and director who has been recognized for both navigating the complexities of financing international co-productions and producing successful cross-cultural films and television series.

His producing and directing credits include episodes of the gritty medical drama JOZI H (nominated for Best Dramatic Series, Gemini Awards), the critically acclaimed EKHAYA: A FAMILY CHRONICLE aka MOLOFISH (Best Dramatic Series, Cinema Tout Ecran, Geneva International Film and Television Festival), and the award-winning SURVIVORS (1st Place Chris Award, Columbus International Film Festival; Golden Sheaf Award, Best Drama, Yorkton Film Festival; Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival).

Alfons initiated the first official co-production between Canada and South Africa and is also known as an experienced executive producer; his credits include Gemini Award winning SKIN DEEP and the drama series NORTH/SOUTH (CBC). He also produced the award-winning documentary feature GANESH, BOY WONDER (Best Documentary Film, MIAAC 2010 Festival, New York; Official Selection 2009 Hot Docs International Documentary Festival; Official Selection Montreal International Film Festival).

Alfons most recently executive produced the feature film BEAT THE WORLD, distributed by Sony in the US, Wild Bunch in Europe and eOne in Canada. He also directed HIGH CHICAGO, a feature film released in the winter of 2012 and nominated for an African Academy Award.

 

CORA TONNO, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Cora is a developer in every sense of the word.  After graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Economics, she joined the family land development and construction business and eventually became President overseeing the company’s growth and expansion.

Eager to forge new frontiers, Cora began working in film and television and exploring all areas of the business including sales, marketing and finance and now works as an Executive Producer overseeing the growth of Inner City Films (ICF).  Under her tenure, ICF has developed a number of international co-productions with the UK, France, India and South Africa.  Attending international film and TV markets Cora secures financial partners for ICF’s production slate, which includes, sci-fi series, drama, transmedia and feature films.

 

VERONICA ADETUYI, INVESTMENT MANAGER

A successful entrepreneur for over twenty years, Veronica has owned retail shops and art galleries in Toronto’s trendy Yorkville area and her clients have included prominent art collectors and international corporations.  Her proven ability to design art portfolios that build investment value established her reputation as an innovative investment strategist.

Following her success in the art world, Veronica now designs investment opportunities in film, television and multi-platform properties. She has developed relationships with institutional and private investors seeking sustainable IP investments that utilize international co-productions, film subsidies and tax credits to leverage revenue potential.
